The business deal is part of the new AgXtend™ brand launched by CNH industrial. CNHi, mother company of tractor manufacturers New Holland, Case IH and Steyr with an annual turnover of 33 billion, introduces AgXtend™ as new brand for precision farming technologies with scanners, sensors and IoT-solutions.
The IoT-solution is supplied by the new strategic partner of CNHi: AppsforAgri B.V. from the Netherlands. AppsforAgri is a Dutch AgTech company that offers complete smartfarming solutions. The company provides the agricultural sector with relevant information by translating sensor data to decision supportive information. The sensors in the field send the information wirelessly to the phone of the farmer, making farm data 24/7 accessible. The models and algorithms behind the decision supportive information are based on the knowledge and experience of experts, who have more than 25 years of experience in the agricultural sector.
CNHi believes that the AgXtend™ products have the potential to significantly reduce the fuel consumption and as well as the targeting of and eventually reducing the use of fertilizers and crop protection products.
